This position is responsible to perform detail duties relating to long-term contractual transmission delivery and ancillary services, member load and generator interconnections, Western co-supply power deliveries and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) compliance reporting. This position reviews and maintains Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s (BEPC) portfolio of generation and load metering for the various Basin Electric metering arrangements with RTOs, transmission providers’ tariff, bilateral agreements, and the membership agreements. The incumbent provide solutions in accurately measuring Basin Electric’s loads and generation across a multiple transmission providers and regions. This position performs services agreements, engineering and economic analysis, inventory, maintenance planning, reporting, specifications and standards in multiple RTO markets and Balancing Areas. This position applies standard practices and principles to specific situations; evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may involve physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber-related assets or systems. This position may involve access to privileged information relating to such assets or systems. Applicants for this position will be required to meet applicable CIP eligibility requirements to be hired, and employees in this position must strictly adhere to all Basin Electric policies, procedures, and programs applicable to CIP requirements.
This position requires frequent sitting and standing/walking; and occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, use of keyboard/computer, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak.
